As of August 2nd, seven days rolling average of new cases of the coronavirus is 84,389 as per the latest report from CDC. The CDC also said that hospitalization is up 46% and the number of deaths is also increasing. The nation’s top disease expert and chief medical adviser at White House Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the number of covid-19 cases in the country is expected to rise sharply.

In the coming weeks, it is speculated that the country will witness the worst of every outburst of coronavirus. The rise in infections has led CDC to recommend last week that the people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must also start wearing masks in public indoor and entertainment settings.

In the US more than 70 percent have received at least one dose of vaccination. The Biden administration states that the sudden surge in cases is due to approximately 90 million people who remain reluctant and unvaccinated. The country is continually making efforts to motivate and encourage its citizens to get their dose of vaccination and shield themselves against Covid-19. In conjunction with this, President Biden criticized the governor of Florida, Texas, and other officials who have moved to block the re-imposition of masks mandates to slow down the spread of Delta variant. “If you’re not going to help, at least get out of the way of people trying to do the right thing,” Biden said. The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that the Biden administration is preparing and trying their best to offer coronavirus vaccines to migrants in the custody of the US along the borders with Mexico. The center also expressed the fact that the plan is not final yet and many discussions are going on to draft the plan and finalize this move.
