Researchers have been trying to study and analyze the impact of menopause on the mental health of women for ages. As of now, only the cognitive changes have been analyzed and seen in the women undergoing menopause. 

It has been seen that women undergo various changes and faces problem-related to reasoning, thinking, and analyzing. 

All these problems might not last for the long term in a few women, but it’s quite the opposite in a few others. Menopause can also have a major negative impact on the energy and productivity of women. 

This transaction as a woman is not an easy one. According to research, it was found that 60% of women face problems related to remembering names, faces of known people. Menopause has also had an impact related to reading and writing words. 

There are surgical ways to menopause; it is just the removal of ovaries, and women usually get this done because of cancer. There are many symptoms of menopause, starting from hot flashes, depression, anxiety, stress, and brain fog. 

These are commonly seen in almost more than 60% of women worldwide. These might and might not last for a period of 5 to 10 years. 

The degree of cognitive decline is normal but might also be a great problem for working women as they are already under stress due to work pressure and other similar problems. This topic has gained a lot of attention lately, and scientists are still trying to figure out things. 

As per data and results available from previous research, it was seen and analyzed that menopause can pose a threat to working women to a large extent. 

However, it was also observed that women undergo menopause at the age of 40 to 45. At this age, women generally deal with young kids and have a senior position at the workplace. 

Menopause itself can be a tiring process or change for women, and on top of that, they need to deal with the side effects of the same. 

The energy levels drop down and women find it hard to focus. All these have a major impact on their personal lives and affect their productivity at the workplace.

Brain fog is described as fogginess in the thought process and understanding. This cognitive is not just related to age but also to hormones. In menopause, there is a decrease in hormones which is the main cause of brain fog. 

Estradiol and progesterone are the chemicals produced by ovaries. These chemicals are also called brain chemicals and are responsible for thinking. 

Loss of estradiol in women due to menopause is also one of the major factors for Alzheimer’s. If a woman undergoes menopause at an early age because of cancer or any other surgical methods, she has a higher risk of dementia. 

Women should also note that dementia before the age of 65 is not common or usual unless your family has a history related to it.

HRT, also known as “menopausal hormone replacement therapy,” can help with night sweats, hot flashes, and other menopausal symptoms. According to all the above information, it is clear that women go through a lot of problems caused by the decline in hormones due to menopause. However, hormone therapy has not shown any significant benefit as of now. However, more research is required in this area.
